Shipping creases are temporary — will fade over time
Because the Tyvek shade may be folded for shipping, some lamps may arrive with slight creases. These are temporary and will naturally fade over time once installed, as the material smooths with exposure to light and warmth.

Lamp doesn't light up after installation? Check the terminals
If the lamp does not light up, double-check the electrical connections. Ensure the positive (+) terminal is connected to the positive wire and the negative (−) terminal to the negative wire. Reversing the terminals will prevent the lamp from lighting up.

No — creases from shipping are temporary and will naturally fade over time once the lamp is installed and in use.

What size should I choose for my dining table?+
Single Medium (31.4″) suits tables 36–48″ wide; Single Large (39.3″) fits 48–60″ tables. Multi-head configs work for longer tables. Cable adjusts to 59″. Contact us for custom sizing in our atelier.
Can I customize the Tense lamp or order a different size?+
Is the dimmable version compatible with my switch?+
The dimmable version requires a Triac dimmer switch for smooth, flicker-free control. Standard non-dimmable version works with regular on/off switches. Triac options available on Amazon.
My lamp arrived with creases in the Tyvek shade—is this normal?+
Yes. Shipping folds create temporary creases that fade naturally within weeks as light and warmth smooth the DuPont Tyvek material. This is normal and does not indicate damage.
How do I clean the Tyvek shade?+
DuPont Tyvek is delicate yet durable. Gently dust with a soft cloth. Avoid water or abrasive cleaners. The material diffuses warm light while remaining maintenance-friendly for long-term display.
