Guide 01
Scale and proportion
How to Choose the Right Chandelier Size
A chandelier should feel connected to both the room and the furniture below it. Begin with the space it needs to serve, then compare the listed fixture dimensions with a simple physical mock-up.
Begin With the Anchor
Above a dining table or island, use that surface as the visual anchor. In an open room, consider the full room and surrounding furniture.
Check Width and Visual Weight
Two fixtures with the same width can feel very different. Open frames read lighter; solid shades and dense forms read larger.
Confirm the Full Drop
Review the fixture body, canopy and suspension together. Keep sightlines, doors and circulation clear.
Make a Simple Mock-Up
Use paper, tape or a lightweight outline at the intended size and height. View it from several positions before deciding.
