Solid alabaster columns, lit from the inside
Each shade is one piece of natural alabaster with a brass cap. Turn it on and the stone itself glows — you can see the veining right through the wall of the column, and no two read the same. This is the fixture in most of the big spiral-stair installs on our site.

Common questions
What is the shade made of?
Each shade is one piece of natural alabaster, hand-carved and solid. The LED sits inside the column, so the stone itself becomes the diffuser—you see the veining right through the alabaster wall, and no two are identical.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes. It works with common wall dimmers as standard, and a Triac version is available built to order for smoother dimming at the low end.
Can I change the cord or drop length?
Yes. The cable is custom-cut to your stairwell and brass-wrapped. Give us your ceiling height and a photo of your space, and we'll send you a drop plan before we build.
Will it work on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?
The standard canopy suits a flat ceiling. We build custom canopies for angled or vaulted installations—just let us know your ceiling pitch before ordering.
Does it run on US household power?
Yes. It's hardwired to your ceiling box for AC 110–240V, so an electrician wires it directly to your existing electrical box.
Is it approved for US use and do you ship here?
Yes to both. We ship free to all 50 states. The fixture is certified for North America.

Every piece is made to order in our own atelier — here is what most clients ask before choosing theirs.
What size should I choose for my stairwell or two-story foyer?+
8–10 ft single-story foyer: 3 or 6-light. Standard two-story stairwell (~16 ft): 9 or 12-light. Tall stairwells or 20+ ft foyers: 15-light. Email your ceiling height for a free custom layout mockup from our atelier.
How bright is each alabaster column?+
Each column houses 5–10W integrated LED at 2700K warm white. A 3-light reads as accent; for full coverage at two-story height, plan 9–15 columns. Total output ranges 30W to 78W depending on light count.
What finishes and colors are available?+
Gold & White is the standard finish. Canopy options: solid brass (default), matte brass, brushed nickel, or satin gold. Each 2.4″ × 9.4″ column is hand-carved natural alabaster; veining and translucency vary by piece.
What is the LED lifespan, and can it be replaced?+
Integrated LED rated over 30,000 hours—roughly 25 years. At end of life, LED replacement is available at our authorized service; contact us with your order number for replacement details.
Can the drop length be customized, and is installation difficult?+
Standard cable is 2 m adjustable on-site; extended cable available on request. Hardwired ceiling install requires a licensed electrician. Sloped ceilings up to 15° compatible; steeper pitches ship with free adapter—send pitch angle when ordering.
