Pippi Kids Fabric Pendant Light — Handwoven Shade, Colorful Ball Fringe
A hand-woven fabric dome — 450 mm wide and 460 mm tall — hangs from a spray-painted iron ring canopy, its off-white woven body trimmed with a scalloped red fabric border and a row of multicolor felt balls along the bottom edge. The shade diffuses E27 bulb light through the woven weave, casting a soft, scattered glow across the ceiling and walls rather than a direct beam downward. Sized for nurseries, kids' bedrooms, and playrooms where a pendant in the 14–18-inch range reads comfortably without overpowering a low ceiling.

About the Fabric Shade
The woven fabric body is hand-stitched. Minor variation in weave density and felt ball placement is normal for this type of handcraft construction. Do not use steam or an iron on the shade — compressed air or a soft brush removes dust without damaging the fabric.

Yes. At 450 mm / 17.7 inches wide, it fits nurseries and kids' bedrooms with standard 8-foot ceilings without feeling oversized. The fabric shade has no exposed sharp edges or rigid protruding parts. The bottom ball fringe hangs freely but is attached to the fabric border, not a separate loose component.
What kind of bulb should I use, and can I dim this light?
The fixture uses a standard E27 base and accepts any E27 bulb up to the bulb's rated wattage. For a kids' room, a warm white bulb in the 2700–3000K range keeps the space from feeling clinical. Dimming is possible if you pair a dimmable E27 LED bulb with a compatible wall dimmer switch — the fixture itself has no built-in dimmer.
How do I hang it at the right height for a kids' room?
For a general kids' room pendant (not over a table), the bottom of the shade is typically hung 7 feet from the finished floor as a starting point — this keeps the fixture out of reach for standing children and out of eye-line sightlines. Cord length is adjusted inside the canopy cap during installation.
How do I clean the fabric shade and felt balls?
Use a soft dry brush or compressed air to remove dust from the woven fabric. Do not use water, steam, or a fabric steamer — moisture can distort the woven shape and felt ball texture. The iron ring and canopy can be wiped with a dry cloth.
