The Stellar Pivot Sconce blends rugged texture with refined warmth. The main light unit is housed in a rectangular body of deep, dark black travertine with a subtly textured finish evoking cosmic mystery. Ingeniously mounted on a solid walnut wood block, the piece is anchored with earthy elegance. The light unit pivots to direct the warm, linear LED glow exactly where needed — ideal for reading nooks, bedside lighting, or gallery walls.
About the black travertine — genuine natural stone with a matte black surface finish
The body of this sconce is made from genuine travertine stone. To create a deep, even black aesthetic, the stone surface is finished with a matte black coating — rather than left in its natural off-white state. This is an intentional design choice: the weight, density, and natural pore structure of genuine travertine are preserved, while the surface colour is controlled. The entire stone presents a consistent matte black — this is exactly as it was designed to be.
Natural travertine — formed by geological processes
Travertine is formed in the natural environment through thousands of years of complex physical and chemical processes. Even beneath the black surface, the pore distribution and stone characteristics of each piece remain entirely unique.
