Fold is a pendant light made from PET acoustic felt, creased into a crisp pleated cone that opens into a scalloped petal hem. Its built-in LED throws a soft, downward pool of light, while the dense felt helps absorb sound and soften echo in rooms with hard floors, glass, or high ceilings. It is a quiet, sculptural centerpiece for a dining table, kitchen island, or home office.

One generous size in seven felt colors, with a built-in LED — no bulbs to buy or change. Hardwired to the ceiling, for indoor, dry locations. It shares its acoustic felt and color range with our dome-shaped pendant, so the two can be mixed across a space.

Sound-Absorbing Felt

A dense PET acoustic felt shade helps absorb sound and soften echo in hard-surfaced rooms.

Pleated Petal Cone

Crisp folds open into a scalloped petal hem — sculptural, matte, and warm to the eye.

Integrated LED

A built-in LED casts a downward pool of light — no bulbs to buy or replace.

Light that also helps quiet a room. PET acoustic felt is the same family of material used in office sound panels. Hung over a table or desk, the shade absorbs some of the sound that would otherwise bounce off hard floors, glass, and ceilings — helping speech feel clearer and the space feel calmer. It softens echo; it is not a substitute for full room soundproofing.

Frequently asked

How does the acoustic felt actually help?

PET acoustic felt is a dense, sound-absorbing material — the same family used in office acoustic panels. Over a table or desk it absorbs some of the sound that bounces off hard floors, glass, and ceilings, which softens echo and helps a room feel calmer. It is a helpful improvement, not full soundproofing.

Does it use a bulb?

No — the LED is built in, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. Power draw is 15W, cast downward as ambient light.

What size is it, and where does it suit?

It is one generous size — 21.7″ (55 cm) across and 13.4″ (34 cm) tall — well suited to a dining table, kitchen island, or a spot where you want presence and some sound absorption.

How is it installed?

It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box — a licensed electrician is recommended. It is rated IP20 for indoor, dry locations only.

How do I clean the felt?

Dust gently with a soft brush or vacuum on a low setting with a brush attachment. Spot-clean marks with a barely-damp cloth and let it air-dry; avoid soaking the felt or using harsh cleaners.
