SOLID HONEY ONYX · LINEN DRUM SHADE · BRASS-PLATED HARDWARE · E26
A solid honey onyx column with a tapered linen drum shade — translucent stone catches warm light through its veined interior
Vesper is a transitional table lamp built around a solid honey onyx column — natural stone with flowing amber and cream veining unique to each piece. The drum shade sits low and wide on the column, diffusing the bulb's warmth evenly across the room. Brass-plated steel hardware at the base, neck, and finial provide warm gold accents at a more accessible price than solid brass.
Compact at 35 cm Ø × 55.6 cm tall (about 14″ × 22″) — well-scaled for nightstands, console tables, and library desks. E26 socket on a plug-in cord; bulb sold separately. The onyx column glows softly when lit, revealing its veining from within.
Solid Honey Onyx Column
Cut from natural onyx — translucent stone with flowing amber and cream veining unique to each piece. Glows from within when lit.
Linen Drum Shade
Tapered drum sewn from cotton-linen blend — diffuses the bulb evenly without harsh shadows. Reads as quiet, library-warm light.
E26 + Plug & Play
Standard E26 socket on a 5 ft cord with inline switch. Plug-and-play — no electrician required. Bulb sold separately.

Hardware
Brass-plated steel — base, neck collar, and finial
About the brass-plated hardware. The gold-toned base, neck, and finial are steel finished with a brass plating — this keeps the lamp at an accessible price compared to solid brass equivalents. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners.
Each onyx column is unique. Onyx is natural stone formed over millennia — veining direction, amber depth, and translucency vary between every piece we cut. The photo shows a representative example.

We recommend a 40-60W equivalent LED in 2700-3000K warm white. The warm tone reads naturally through the linen shade and brings out the amber veining in the onyx column. For dimming, pair with a Triac-dimmable LED bulb.

Frequently asked
Is the gold hardware solid brass?
No — the base, neck collar, and finial are brass-plated steel. This keeps the lamp at an accessible price while providing a luxury gold appearance. The plating is durable for normal indoor use.
Why does my onyx column look different from the photo?
Onyx is a natural stone — veining direction, amber depth, and translucency vary between every piece we cut. This natural variation is part of the stone's beauty.
What bulb should I buy?
Vesper uses a single E26 bulb. We recommend a 40-60W equivalent LED in 2700-3000K warm white to correctly highlight the amber veining in the onyx.
Does the onyx column glow when lit?
Yes — onyx is naturally translucent, so warm light from the bulb subtly bleeds through the column from above, revealing the internal veining patterns.
The shade arrived with creases — is that normal?
Yes. Linen shades are flat-packed during shipping. Minor creases relax within a few days of use as the fabric warms under the bulb.
How do I clean the onyx?
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with water only — never use acidic cleaners which can etch the natural surface.
Is Vesper certified for global use?
Yes. It holds certifications compatible with North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia and operates on AC 110–240V worldwide.
